Dr. Skubic is a surgeon and trauma and critical care physician whose passion for health began long before his career in medicine. A lifelong strength athlete and martial artist, he has trained since his teenage years and continues to actively compete in Judo and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu today.
After completing his general surgery residency at the University of Arizona, Dr. Skubic pursued advanced training in Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at Harvard University's Brigham and Women's Hospital. He later helped develop the first Level I trauma center in South East Texas, serving as its Trauma Medical Director.
His years in medicine—combined with decades of personally pursuing strength, performance, recovery, and longevity—shaped his belief that healthcare shouldn't focus only on treating problems after they occur. He wants to help people better understand their health, remain active as they age, and continue doing the things they love.
That philosophy is a driving force behind his work with Centruva.

Originally from Brazil, Fabiana Skubic is an entrepreneur, wife, and mother of two who understands how difficult it can be to prioritize healthcare when life is already full. Navigating healthcare with English as her second language also showed her how overwhelming medical terminology and rushed conversations can make understanding your options.
She founded Centruva with a vision for a different experience—one that gives people the time, clarity, and convenience to better understand their care and communicate with licensed medical providers on their own schedule.
Fabiana has built businesses across e-commerce, marketing, and technology and is also the founder of Fruitful Play, a Christian parenting platform that helps families turn biblical values into simple, meaningful moments of connection through off-screen play that encourages children’s character development.

What is free, and when do I pay?
The initial screening and automated preliminary assessment are free. Physician evaluation is a paid step that you choose to proceed with. The app explains pricing, payment terms, and charges for each possible review outcome before you continue. A decision not to prescribe does not necessarily mean the physician review is free.
Am I guaranteed a prescription?
No. Eligibility depends on your medical history, state availability, and a licensed physician’s evaluation. The physician may decide treatment is not appropriate or that you need a different level of care. The app explains the applicable review terms before you proceed.
Do I need to book a video appointment?
You begin with an online intake that you can complete on your schedule. A licensed physician reviews the information asynchronously. Additional information or a different type of evaluation may be needed depending on your circumstances and applicable requirements.
Where is Centruva available?
Centruva is currently accepting patients in North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Residents of these states can start a free screening in the patient app. If you live elsewhere, join our expansion waitlist for updates.
